How to get to the city

By plane. The fastest way to get to Samara is by plane. From Moscow to Samara you will fly in approximately 1 hour 40 minutes, from St. Petersburg – in 2 hours 25 minutes.

The airport is located 35 km from the city, you can get there by Aeroexpress, bus or minibus. Travel time is about an hour.

By train. It will also be convenient to get from Moscow by train —  The Zhiguli fast train departs from the Kazansky railway station. The journey will take up to 14 hours. 

From St. Petersburg from Moskovsky station by train it takes even longer – about a day and a half. 

Samara railway station is located in the city center, and the nearest metro station “Moskovskaya” is 3.5 km away. In addition, the railway station is the highest in Europe. At an altitude of 95 m there is an observation deck offering stunning views of the city center.

By bus you can get to Samara from many Russian cities: Moscow, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Orenburg and so on. The journey from Moscow will take about 16-18 hours.

By car you can get from Moscow to Samara in 15-17 hours along the M5 Ural highway.
