Ekaterinburg route
Area 1905
On the central square of the city is located one of the symbols of Yekaterinburg – a building in the neoclassical style with a spire, a clock, bas-reliefs and plaster sculptures. If you stay longer to look at the facade, you will find more and more interesting details.
Embankment and Plotinka
Take a walk along the embankment along the Iset River and enjoy the contrast: on one side you will observe historical architecture, on the other – modern skyscrapers. There is a very cozy atmosphere here: you can ride a boat, visit the Viktor Tsoi wall or take a photo with a block of Ural gem. By the way, Plotinka even “participated” in The Prodigy’s video.
Literary Quarter
This place takes you back several centuries. There are wooden carved houses, a forge, a stable, barns, a cozy square with old lanterns and figured trellises. There are also several museums dedicated to writers and poets. Sometimes chamber concerts and creative meetings take place here.
Stone Museum in the Main Avenue Arts Center
Where, if not in the Urals, can you get acquainted with the real beauty of natural stone? A famous collector has assembled an exhibition here, the like of which is difficult to find even in the world. The museum presents not only unique nuggets, but also original works by the best masters. In the showroom you can purchase products as a souvenir or as a gift.
Visit cost: 200 rubles*
Yeltsin Center
Inside the stylish building there are not only conference rooms for meetings. There is an art gallery, a cinema hall, a bookstore, several cafes, an archive, a library, a science amusement park and a museum that houses authentic objects from bygone eras. The glass elevators offer beautiful views of the embankment.
Restaurant “Pate”
Everything here, from the interior to the menu details, resembles a cozy dacha, where you are greeted as long-awaited guests not only by the establishment’s staff, but also by the local cat Pasha. You can try dishes of Russian cuisine prepared with imagination – at Pashte they like to experiment with recipes and presentation, as a result of which everything turns out non-trivial.
