Kaliningrad
The westernmost region of Russia will appeal to those who miss vacations in Europe. The former Königsberg differs from typical Russian landscapes: here you will find narrow streets, tiled roofs and an ancient cathedral. A big plus of Kaliningrad in February is the small number of tourists. So there is a good chance that you will be almost alone walking through ancient forts, viewing paintings in an art gallery, choosing souvenirs in the Fishing Village and admiring the exhibits in the Amber Museum.

Murmansk

Rostov the Great

Dress warmly and get ready to walk a lot: first around the Rostov Kremlin, then along Lake Nero, and then admire the ancient monasteries located right there. You can get acquainted with this art in the museum located right in the Kremlin, and choose something as a gift for yourself at the fair outside its walls.

Derbent
Unexpectedly, yes? But believe us, this is a very romantic city. Moreover, it is the oldest in our country: which means you can touch history here. Explore the amazing Naryn-Kala fortress, which was once one of the world’s largest defensive structures. Today, only part of the once 42-kilometer wall has survived, and there is an interesting museum in the tower. Next, stroll through the atmospheric old town and stop by the market for souvenirs (don’t forget to bargain!). Shopping in Derbent is excellent: choose something from beautiful ceramics or even a traditional Dagestani kilim carpet.
A nice touch to the trip will be a visit to the Derbent winery, where they conduct tastings of local wines. The conditions in the region are similar to some regions of Italy, so the drinks here are very decent. There’s even local prosecco.

Tyumen
Don’t be surprised by this city on the list: the fact is that Tyumen is called one of the best balneological resorts in Russia. Vladivostok
This region of Russia is called by some as Far Delight – and for good reason. To do this, however, you will have to rent an SUV, but it’s worth it. And for beautiful scenery, go to the Egersheld lighthouse, which offers a cool view of the Bosphorus.
Another reason to visit Vladivostok is gastronomic. Here you can have a real romantic feast: try the freshest seafood, such as sea cucumbers and local oysters, which have a richer taste.

Kamchatka

Elbrus

But if you want easier skiing, welcome to the neighboring Elbrus with wide, gentle slopes with a long descent.
