Things to do and see
Lovozero and Sami village
Lovozero offers picturesque landscapes with gentle mountain slopes and tundra. And in the village nearby, the Sami people still live, carefully preserving their language, culture and crafts. The main industry, of course, is reindeer herding. Both children and adults can immerse themselves in the world of a northern fairy tale here.
The cost of the excursion is 6,500 rubles* per person.
Memorial Lighthouse
It is symbolic – it was built in honor of the sailors who died in peacetime. History buffs will be interested in going to the “Memory Hall” (you can always hear the sound of the sea there) and look at the control room of the “Kursk” nearby. For others, this is a wonderful photo location.
Pajama run, Kola city
On the night of June 19-20, a mass race will take place for the Olympic Day. The distance is only 1.5 km – anyone can handle it. And pajamas, onesies, bathrobes, caps, curlers and so on will only make it easier to overcome the route. Because it’s fun. Kola is located 13 km from Murmansk. We recommend not to miss such a bright event!
Sea trip
Don’t forget to look through the captain’s binoculars! Although even without it it’s difficult to tear yourself away from the picturesque views of the Kola Bay. And you will also be surprised at the number of all kinds of ships – from fishing to military! They are no less impressive than the surrounding nature.
The cost of the excursion is about 7,000 rubles* per person.
Hiking with a husky
Together with cheerful tailed guides you will set off along beautiful natural trails in the vicinity of Murmansk! Conquer the vastness of the tundra – get to the Rogozersky labyrinth, pagan seids and the Mogilny ditch.
Excursion cost – 2,500 rubles*.
Fishing
Barents Sea, fjords and excitement. Try to catch cod, haddock, catfish, sea bass and, if you’re lucky, even halibut! Experienced fishermen are delighted, and those who have never tried fishing begin to appreciate this activity. They say that after northern fishing you will certainly fall in love with the northern region and want to come back here again.
The cost of going to sea with equipment rental (one person) – from 20,000 rubles*.
Tundra Grill & Bar
Here you will try the famous Murmansk seafood, venison and fish, but not in a simple way, but in a modern author’s version. And, of course, surrounded by a colorful northern interior with mysterious paraphernalia. The trip would be incomplete without tasting local cuisine.
Average check – from 1,500 rubles*.
