The modern state of the Republic of Korea from the XIV to the XIX centuries. was part of the state of Great Joseon. This royal dynasty left behind Five Grand Palaces in Seoul: Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Changgyeonggung Gyeonghuigung and Deoksugung.
