Along with summer, the hot water shutdown season comes to Russia, and if you don’t have a water heating boiler, then you’ve definitely wondered where to wash comfortably. A hotel or hostel could be a good option.

We analyzed prices for accommodation in the 10 largest cities in Russia and found out which hostels and hotels offer the cheapest and most expensive showers.

In Moscow, the biggest difference between cheap and expensive accommodation is that a room in a budget hostel is 1600 times cheaper than a luxury room in the most expensive hotel in the city. In the capital, the cheapest place to wash is in a hostel near the Kurskaya metro station (“Hostel on Kurskaya”) – a shower and a place in a shared room will cost 200 rubles, but taking a bath in a suite at The St. Regis Moscow Nikolskaya is available for 320,000 rubles.

In St. Petersburg, the cheapest shower in a hostel will cost 250 rubles (Pogosti na Moskovskom), but the most expensive one can be washed at the Taleon Imperial Hotel; a day in a suite will cost 290,000 rubles.

The cheapest place to wash in Novosibirsk is at the Perekrestok Hostel Moto, for 250 rubles, but in the most expensive hotel in the city, Novosibirsk Marriott Hotel, for 20,700 rubles.

In Yekaterinburg, in the cheapest hostel you can take a shower for 290 rubles (Red Star Hostel), and a day in a suite at the Hyatt Regency Hotel will cost 35,000 rubles – this is the most expensive shower in the city.

A shower in a hostel in the center of Nizhny Novgorod (“Barry Hostel”) will cost you 390 rubles; you can wash at the Kulibin Park Hotel 66 times more expensive – a suite will cost 25,850 rubles per day.

In Kazan you can stay in a hostel and take a shower for 230 rubles (Hostel On Narimanova), and a day in the most expensive hotel in the city will cost 18,000 rubles (Ramada Kazan City Center).

In Chelyabinsk, the cheapest accommodation, and therefore the cheapest shower, will cost 350 rubles (Sleep&Go!), the most expensive – 39,000 rubles (suite at the Grand Hotel Vidgof).

In Omsk, the cheapest shower in a hostel will cost 448 rubles (Hostel “Omsk”), but the most expensive one can be washed at the Mayak Hotel.

You can wash yourself inexpensively in Samara for 336 rubles, at Like Hostel. But to stay for a day in the most expensive hotel of the year – for 14,770 rubles (Hotel Samara).

For 390 rubles you can wash in the cheapest hostel in Rostov-on-Don (Good Rooms Hostel). The most expensive accommodation in the city will cost 15,000 rubles (Country House Hotel).
