The only pity is that often the preferences of children and adults in where and how to spend their holidays do not coincide. And there is not much time for joint trips. Why not take a train, bus or fly for the fall holidays somewhere where you can have a blast that everyone will be delighted with? In this article we will tell you about what to do for children in famous tourist cities and countries.
Russia
You won’t be able to lure children to Sochi in November with sea and sun, but Sochi Park is open in this most famous Russian resort city, and this is a much more attractive magnet. Sochi Park is one of the 25 best amusement parks in Europe and we can say that it is like the Black Sea Disneyland, only instead of cartoon characters, characters from Russian fairy tales rule the roost here. Not far from Madrid, there is a Warner Bros. park with five thematic zones, and Barcelona hosts Europe’s largest aquarium. Israel
Israel is a country with a rich past and it is not surprising that even children’s entertainment here is marked by history. For example, in Jerusalem there is the “Time Elevator”: a half-hour 5D walk into the past, and even small children will not get bored in the chairs – the effect of presence is created not only by sounds and videos, but also by gusts of wind, splashes of water and the feeling of falling or flying.
In Tel Aviv, Meimadion is open – the largest water park in the country with artificial sea waves and Luna Park, where there are not only attractions, but also a driving school for the little ones, where children, after taking a course on traffic rules and passing an exam, can receive their first “rights”. Between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem there is an amazing Mini-Israel park, which presents in miniature all the sights of the Promised Land. In Eilat you can visit the “Dolphin Reef”, where dolphins are not trained, but simply observed in natural conditions.
Disneyland Paris
European Disneyland is located 32 kilometers from the capital of France. The vast territory is home to two legendary amusement parks: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Paris. Disneyland has 5 themed areas: Adventureland, Frontierland, Main Road USA (shopping and dining),
Land of Discovery and Land of Fantasy. Walt Disney Studios Park focuses on film and television, where children can visit film sets, experience the world of animation and stroll along Hollywood Boulevard. An important nuance: a lot of tourists come to the amusement park and therefore there are long queues at the ticket office. In order not to spend half an hour buying a ticket for an attraction, you can take a fastpass (fast ticket) or hire a VIP guide. A five-minute drive from the park is the La Vallee Village outlet, where there is also a lot of entertainment, including discount shopping.
Italy
The youngest children should enjoy the Fiabilandia park in the resort town of Rimini – the oldest park for children in the country (opened in 1966), where there are a lot of attractions designed for children from 3 to 9 years old. Mirabilandia, between Rimini and Ravena, is one of the largest amusement parks in Europe. If you leave the resort area to the north, you can combine business with pleasure: stop in Genoa at the second largest aquarium in Europe with 70 tanks in which swim the inhabitants of the waters encountered on the path of Christopher Columbus. And at the same time, stop by the Fidenza Village outlet, an hour’s drive from the city, where there are more than 100 boutiques of famous Italian brands and children’s goods can be bought with a 70% discount.
Czech Republic
Prague is generally one big attraction, and for children it looks like a fairy-tale city with real ancient castles in which princes and princesses could live. Walk with them along Golden Street, which is so similar to the scenery of a fairy tale, take a ride on the tourist tram, which began operating at the beginning of the last century, or go on a river walk along the Vltava. In the summer you can go to the Children’s Fun Island. It is curious that even the water park here is called a palace – Aquapalace. This is the largest family water park in Central Europe, with paddling pools for kids, a pirate ship, and a spa for moms. Even in adult places you can always find a room for little ones, and in establishments for kids it will be interesting for parents too. For example, the oldest open-air museum, Skansen, tells about the life of Sweden in past centuries: bread is baked right before your eyes, glass is blown, you can visit a fisherman’s home or a landowner’s estate. On the territory of the museum there is a zoo with local animals and an aquarium with inhabitants of the northern seas. The interactive museum Junibacken is a meeting place with the heroes of Astrid Lingren’s fairy tales, and even three-year-old children can perform scientific experiments at the Tom Tits Experiment science center. Museums of ancient weapons, the Vasa shipwreck, natural history and medieval Stockholm all help make your vacation incredibly fun and educational.
