Every year, the Passport Index portal publishes a rating of passports from different countries, whose holders can visit the largest number of countries without a visa.
Germans have almost limitless travel opportunities – they can make visa-free flights to 158 countries around the world.
Next is Sweden – its citizens can visit 157 countries.
The third line of the index is shared by Denmark, Great Britain, France, Finland, Switzerland, Norway, Spain and the USA; their residents have unhindered entry into 156 countries.
Russia occupies a modest 43rd place in the ranking. Our fellow citizens can travel without a visa or under a simplified visa regime to 103 countries. The Republic of Kiribati, an island in the Pacific Ocean, shares 43rd place in the ranking with Russia.
The fewest countries without a visa are available to residents of Afghanistan – 23 countries (98th place in the ranking). Moreover, relations with these states are reciprocal – only residents of these countries have the right to visa-free entry into Afghanistan.
The title of the most hospitable country was shared by 15 countries, ready to receive guests from 198 countries of the world without unnecessary formalities. Among them are the Seychelles Islands, popular among connoisseurs of paradise landscapes, the homeland of lemurs Madagascar and a number of the poorest countries in Africa, including Togo and Uganda, which are trying to somehow make money on tourism.
Citizens of 26 countries are allowed into Russia without a visa.
