Let's go for a swim: 10 beaches where Muscovites can relax this summer

In the summer heat, when we want to freshen up, we are ready to do a lot: for example, spend a couple of hours driving just to get to a clean, cool body of water and relax on a sandy beach. We have prepared a list of excellent swimming places where Moscow residents can go – for a day, a weekend or even a full vacation.

Go for a day

Serebryany Bor

The most obvious and accessible option is the beaches of Serebryany Bor. Muscovites and guests of the capital have been coming here for a long time. The cleanliness of the reservoir is closely monitored: at the beginning of the swimming season, as a rule, it is reported that the water meets accepted sanitary standards. We recommend coming to the equipped free beach No. 3: there are showers, a first-aid post, changing cabins, and even a cafe. This is the longest recreational area in Moscow with a kilometer-long coastline.

Residents of Moscow and the Moscow region know that a cascade of sand quarries stretches from Lyubertsy to Dzerzhinsky. Many of them are filled with water, but not all are suitable for swimming. You can safely relax on the free beach near the Dredge quarry, which is located next to the Freestyle ski complex. There is everything for a great pastime: a cafe, a sauna, sports grounds, barbecues, a rental point for jet skis, water skis and wakesurfs.

In addition to the mandatory attributes of a safe and comfortable holiday, on its territory there are barbecue gazebos, a swimming pool for a foam disco, a “Wild Duck” bar with cocktails and street food, inflatable slides, trampolines and swings for children. The second beach of the hotel is more “luxury” and is called “Golden Pheasant”. You can get here by paying 1500-2000 rubles.
