The history of this hotel began with love. From the love of the Lebanese millionaire and Don Juan Prosper Guy Para to the young actress. They say that out of curiosity, he went to a French fishing village on the Mediterranean coast to look at filming with the participation of a French actress. A little time will pass and the film “And God Created Woman” will be considered a cult, Saint-Tropez from a village will turn into a place of attraction for celebrities and a world resort, and Brigitte Bardot, who played the main role in the film, will become a sex symbol of the era.

The millionaire’s love for the actress, despite long efforts and courtship, turned out to be unrequited. And as a parting gift, the Lebanese decided to build a hotel in Saint-Tropez for Bardot – luxurious, as if from a fairy tale about the Arabian Nights, and the only one of its kind in the entire Mediterranean. In 1967, in honor of the opening of Byblos Saint-Tropez, they threw a grand three-day party with seven hundred famous guests and Mireille Darc and Brigitte Bardot in the “main roles”. The star guests of Byblos Saint-Tropez needed somewhere to have fun – so in the same year, the now legendary nightclubs Les Caves du Roy and Temple of Tropezian nights opened next door to the hotel. In 1971, Mick Jagger and his first wife Bianca Perez got married and honeymooned here. In 2009, the hotel received its fifth star. In 2013, Alain Ducasse, not the last person in world gastronomy, opened his restaurant here.

On the eve of the half-century anniversary, 9 suites at Byblos Saint-Tropez were completely renovated – the best designers worked on updating the interiors. It features a spa and heated outdoor pool.
