The Plaza Hotel

The five-star The Plaza Hotel is one of New York’s oldest hotels and one of the most recognizable hotels in the world. The Plaza is located in the heart of the city, a stone’s throw from Central Park. For the 25th anniversary of the film, The Plaza created a “Live like Kevin” room, in which you can feel like you’re inside the movie: for $895 you will stay in a room that is exactly the same as Kevin’s room, receive four films in a backpack with Home Alone symbols, and a giant ice cream that will be served by a footman. Additionally, you can book a limousine excursion to the places where Kevin has been, including climbing the Empire State Building and skating at the Wollman Rink. By the way, did you know that the current US President Donald Trump appeared in the scene at The Plaza Hotel? Kevin asked his character where the reception was – Trump appeared in the frame for just a couple of seconds.

It is near the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center that Kevin meets his mother at the end of the movie Home Alone 2.
