Yulia Zmaeva visited Kazan: she learned the “secret” words of Kazan residents, saw the main walking street of Tatarstan and told us where the best observation platforms in the city are located. The week before the trip was hectic, so I chose the hotel through the OneTwoTrip mobile application on the way to the airport. It was convenient that I didn’t have to re-enter my card details. They simply synchronized with the data on the computer and that’s it. I love when I can plan everything in one place and not switch between “hundreds” of tabs. Do you know what other bun there is?! For all orders you are credited with tripcoins, which you can then spend on paying for tickets or hotels. Fire?! Oh-oh.. You know what a cool gadget there is?! You can make a non-refundable ticket refundable. And for only 9% of the cost. I’ve never seen anything like this.
Both to Kazan and from Kazan we flew like a breeze)) It seems to me that I managed to see the city from all sides! Both sunny and in a thunderstorm. Yes, in such a thunderstorm that it is easier to take off your shoes and walk barefoot than to try to get around a puddle. I looked at the city from a bird’s eye view, walked along the local Arbat and a very beautiful embankment, walked around the entire Kazan Kremlin, admired the Palace of the Farmers and ate too much chak-chak. The most fun was learning local words and names. I probably confused about 10 people. No one could remember anything right off the bat, and together we figured out what it was. After all, for locals these are ordinary words or names that they use in everyday life. And for city guests the opportunity to feel at home.
Everyone has probably already heard that an excellent observation deck is located in the Grand Hotel in the center of Kazan. More precisely, it is a helipad. It opens from 9:00 am and you can go up to the roof every 45 minutes, so you can easily calculate the schedule. Last rise at 20:15. This pleasure costs 300 rubles, free for hotel guests!
The Kazan Kremlin is beautiful from any angle! Small and very cozy. It’s a pity I didn’t have time to look at it from the water.
I honestly thought that for this shot I would need to climb one of the towers of the Kazan Kremlin. But I worried in vain. The Kremlin has an excellent observation deck from which the Palace of Farmers looks so cool.
Well, let’s see what words and abbreviations you can use to pass for a local resident:
1. Ayda (means encouragement both to start a movement and to start a process);
2. Without buldyrabyz – we can;
3/4. If you are planning to meet someone at the Koltso shopping center or the Tukaya Square metro station from the Bauman side, then just say “Meet me at the Koltso”/“Meet me at the clock”;
5. Kazan University of Culture and Arts is simply a “bag” in common parlance;
6. Meet at the KSFEE building – meet on the mountain.
Remember and be at home in Kazan.

Before departure I managed to sleep only 3 hours. Therefore, after checking in, I spent more time at the hotel than I had planned.
