The Byg-byg festival is taking place for the ninth time in the small village of Starye Bygi. Representatives of Finno-Ugric peoples living in regions of Russia and abroad – Komi, Mari, Karelians, Estonians, Finns, Hungarians and others – take part in it. A large-scale summer city festival, the ideological inspirer, organizer and presenter of which was Konstantin Ivlev, known for the culinary shows “Hell Chef” and “On Knives”. The gastrofest will open with a parade of the taste of creativity and achievements of the Volga region, and will continue with a culinary battle. Guests will also find a food market, many restaurants and food trucks, picnics, tea parties, a concert… An interesting event will be the “Hell Chef” relay race – like in the TV show, but only live at the festival.
