There are very few days left before the May weekend and this year we will have four days off from April 29 to May 2. We decided to offer interesting options for short trips. All you have to do is decide in what format you want to spend the weekend.
I want to go to the beach. Israel, Red Sea

Even the most patient people are tired of waiting for summer by the beginning of May. Three or four days at sea is enough time to warm up, get a tan and spend the last month of spring completely calmly. Given the short time frame, we recommend flying to Israel on the Red Sea coast. This time is considered the best time for relaxation here – the water is already very warm, but the sweltering heat is still far away. A direct flight from Moscow to Tel Aviv takes only 4.5 hours, and from there you can take a bus, for example, to Eilat. On the way, it’s worth stopping by a crocodile farm and seeing the ruins of the ancient city of Ir Avot, where the oldest tree in the country grows. The Red Sea is famous for its vibrant underwater world, so you can stay in the water for hours without getting bored. During a leisurely evening stroll around the city, see the largest singing fountain in Israel and attend the acrobatic performance of the Wow Show.
I want to go where there are few tourists. France, Annecy (Annecy)

The best vacation for a tired city dweller is a trip to nature, where you can forget about the noise of cars and human voices, listen to birdsong, breathe fresh air and immerse yourself in thoughts completely unrelated to work and everyday life. French Provence is perfect for such a pastime, for example, the city of Annecy, located on the shores of the lake of the same name. The view of the water surface and snow-capped mountains greatly helps restore peace of mind. Here you can stay in a cozy hotel in the city center, dine on open terraces and stroll along the embankments and pavements, and when you want to be alone with yourself, just take a ride along the shore of the lake to a secluded place and enjoy the alpine nature. The most convenient way to get to Annecy is from Geneva; regular buses that depart several times a day will take you there in just an hour.
I want to go to nature. Russia, Karelia

Those who sit at their desks will benefit from a truly active holiday, ideally with elements of extreme sports. Rafting is an option for those who do not have any special training, but who crave bright emotions and new experiences. While rafting on the river, the body works, and the head rests and is immersed in contemplation, especially since there is incredibly beautiful nature around. There are a lot of mountain rivers and lakes in Russia, along which there are rafting routes of varying levels of difficulty. You can start from Karelia; the simplest route, about a hundred kilometers long, runs along the Shuya River, which flows through the most picturesque places in this region. The second most popular among beginners is the descent along the Suna, during which you can simultaneously look at the second largest waterfall in Europe – Kivach.
I want to go on a trip by car. Europe

Who doesn’t love the romance of the road? Get into the car, open the windows, turn on the music loudly and press the gas pedal! Warm spring wind, changing pictures and the feeling that this is life. Four days on the road feel like a whole week, because so much happens and flashes before your eyes – people, cities, even countries. It is better to plan a short road trip over short distances, so that every few hours of driving are replaced by relaxation in some beautiful place or small city. And, of course, Europe is best suited for this: you can fly to Copenhagen, rent a car and drive through Germany to Amsterdam, or, if you want less clothes and more sun, from Amsterdam to Barcelona. In general, there are a lot of options, we even made several thematic selections:

I want to see the neighboring city

If you don’t want to travel far, you can go explore the neighboring city. Or go on a city tour, for example, around the entire Golden Ring of Russia. Or discover an already familiar city from an unfamiliar side. For example, go on a tour of abandoned mansions and palaces in St. Petersburg, a walk on the rooftops (this is dangerous, but very exciting) or kayaking along the city canals.
