What to do in Sochi in early March
There is entertainment for every taste all year round. March is beautiful because spring can already be felt on the coast, the air is warming up, and green lawns, birds and the sound of the surf help restore strength and a positive attitude on vacation.
In addition, the ski resorts are at the peak of the season: a lot of snow, great opportunities for freeride and the sun decorating these places.
In addition to traditional walks around Sochi, Adler and Olympic venues, you can visit the Matsesta tea plantations. Of course, it’s worth having dinner with a view of the sea and sunset; you can also go to neighboring colorful Abkhazia for a day or two.
Anapa
In summer, the city turns into a noisy hive, because it is one of the main Black Sea resorts in the country. But in the off-season it is very quiet, calm, cozy and beautiful here: you enjoy the beauties of the city and nature almost alone with them!

What to do in Anapa in early March
In early March it was quite chilly there, winds were blowing from the sea. Therefore, wear good waterproof and windproof clothing when going for walks in and around the city.
Be sure to visit Bald Mountain, located near Anapa, in the village of Su-Psekh. The height is small, but how beautiful it is! And right from there begins an incredibly picturesque route along the sea itself along the Caucasus ridge to the village of Sukko (it will take a couple of hours). At the end you will reach the unique Cypress Lake: these are the only swamp cypresses in Russia, planted here almost 100 years ago and brought from North America. We also recommend taking a walk along Blagoveshchenskaya – this village, 20 km from Anapa, has luxurious sandy beaches, and dolphins often swim here.
Crimea
It’s almost spring in Crimea; it’s quite warm and sunny here. Stroll along a variety of hiking trails in the mountains and along the sea, enjoy the sound of the surf and the starry sky, explore historical sites and museums.

The easiest way is by air. You need to fly to Simferopol.

What to do in Crimea in early March
March on the peninsula is real spring, the sun is warming up here and some flowers are already beginning to bloom (especially closer to Yalta). Take a walk around Simferopol itself, go to Ai-Petri. Here you can even go skiing or snowboarding when there is snow (yes, Crimea has its own ski resort!).
Visit the cave city of Bakhchisaray, the hero city of Sevastopol and colorful Balaklava with yachts reminiscent of the French Riviera. If you get to the western Crimea, huge sandy empty beaches with Maldivian-colored sand await you (Olenevka), as well as cozy Evpatoria with trams, like in Lisbon, a colorful Old Town and the best chebureks.
Yaroslavl
This ancient Russian city is the center of the Golden Ring. Here you can find more than 30 ancient temples, a beautiful Volga embankment, interesting craft workshops and museums.

A plane from Moscow will take you to Yaroslavl in about an hour.

What to do in early March
There are three ski centers near Yaroslavl – Shaksha, Podolino and Izgib. In March, the ski season is in full swing here, so if you like skiing, be sure to visit the local resorts for skiers and snowboarders.
In the city itself it is worth seeing all the main attractions, admiring the panorama of the spit, where the Volga and Kotorosl form a wide spill. By the way, the Yaroslavl Church of John the Baptist with its impressive bell tower is depicted on the 1000-ruble banknote.

Mineralnye Vody

What to do in Mineralnye Vody in early March
Start exploring the Caucasus from Mineralnye Vody – the city can be explored in an hour and a half. Next, visit Pyatigorsk, Kislovodsk and test your luck by seeing Elbrus without a cap of clouds. In March, the ski resorts of the Caucasus are an amazing time for skiing: there is a lot of snow, it is soft and ideal for freeride, popular on Elbrus and Cheget (but with guides, this is prohibited without an accompaniment).
If you like resorts that are quieter, but no less picturesque, go to Dombay or Arkhyz.
In addition, in March, spring is already felt in the Stavropol Territory, Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia. Therefore, outside the mountains you will walk in a light jacket, enjoy the sun, green grass and take juicy vacation photos.
